To whom it may concern,

I am seeking an employment opportunity with your department, which will best utilize my graduate degree in Criminal Justice Administration and my previous management and Law Enforcement experience.

I hold a Master’s of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration, a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, and two associate degrees in Criminal Justice and General Studies.  I also have my Alabama Police Officer Standards and Training, Basic Emergency Medical Technician license and Hazmat First Responder certification.

My work experience includes working with the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office as an Deputy Sheriff.  I had full arrest powers and performed the duties required of a regular deputy of the department on a voluntary basis.  In that capacity, I have performed the following duties, including but limited to: general patrol duties of the North Mobile County, worked various escort details, worked security for special events and political functions, and acted as field training officer, in patrol for new recruits of my unit.  I have also worked Interstate Drug Interdiction in joint task force operations with D.E.A., U.S. Customs and M.C.S.E.N.T., the Mobile County Street Enforcement Narcotics Taskforce.  I received management experience at Troy State University, where I was employed as the Resident Director of two dormitory units.  Dormitory populations totaled approximately 750 residents with 19 staff personnel.  My duties as the resident director included providing for the well-being of all residents, training, and managing the staff personnel.  I routinely planned and directed the day-to-day operations of the dorm and assisted campus police with enforcement of public law and school policy.  Pursuant to those duties, I have worked with sensitive personal information and worked very closely with undercover officers during narcotics sting operations.  On many occasions, I handled or assisted in investigations of violations in the dorm.

My resume is included for your consideration.  I am willing to relocate, if necessary.  I may be contacted at 678-733-1466 or by Email at CAJOHNSTON71@YAHOO.COM, Website www.cjohnston.com

Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Charles A. Johnston, Jr.

M.S.C.J.A.
